Respite

There is no respite

For a person

Who seeks for it

Wherever he goes

He finds something

To occupy his mind

When he is at home

He has no rest

If it isn’t the chores to do

He has questions to address

For everything he says

There is a counterpoint made

So where shall he go?

If even his nest

Doesn’t give him that rest

The one who seeks for respite

Encounters several of those

Whom he isn’t pleased to meet

But has to talk to please

And meet his needs

The ones he wants to meet

Are too busy to respond to his greets

So where does he go now?

With those troubled thoughts in mind

None that he knows

Has achieved it yet

So how can he

Such an ordinary

Think of that

Respite to get
